Information We Collect
When you use Astro River Institute's services, we may collect the following information: your name and email address (via Google or Apple sign-in), device information and browser fingerprint for security purposes, payment information processed securely through Razorpay (we do not store card details), chat transcripts and consultation records, and family member profiles you voluntarily provide.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve our astrology consultation services, process payments and maintain your wallet balance, ensure platform security and prevent fraud, communicate important service updates, and comply with applicable laws.
Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to count visits and to see which pages are read and how visitors move through the site, so we can improve it. It runs only if you press Accept on the cookie banner. Until you do, or if you press Decline, nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga, and _ga_ followed by a code). It records the pages you view, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (country or city). It does not receive your name or email address. Google may process this information on servers outside your country, including in the United States, and deletes the visit-level detail after no more than 14 months.
You can change your choice at any time from Cookie Settings at the foot of every page. If you withdraw, analytics stops and its cookies are deleted from your browser. We remember your choice in your browser for 12 months, then ask again. Apart from this, the site stores only what it needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your cookie choice, which needs no consent. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you.
Data Retention and Archival
Chat transcripts are moved to private archived storage 48 hours after session completion and removed from your active feed. Archived data is retained securely and is not accessible through the regular interface.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Google and Apple for authentication, Razorpay for payment processing (India), Zoho for internal business operations, Cloudflare to host the website, and Google Analytics for visit statistics, only with your consent (see Cookies and Analytics above). We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@astroriver.com.
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted communications, server-side data processing, and role-based access controls. All sensitive operations run exclusively on secure servers.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect: by email if you have an account with us, and by a notice on this site.
